Now everyone can create their social profile right on the blockchain: this is called ‘Universal Profile’.
On your Universal Profile (UP), you can collect all kinds of tokens, including NFTs. You can not only use your Universal Profile as your own personal showroom, but also as a connection to all the other fans (and token holders) and NFT related real entities, like athletes, teams, leagues.
→ The Web 3.0 connects you with your stars!
While in the current Web 2.0 you have different accounts & profiles on Twitter, Instagram or Discord, in Web 3.0 you can use one Universal Profile with different Apps. The UP belongs to you and not just to some company.
In Web 2.0 you are either forced to give up your privacy and to enter your real name, like on Facebook, or there are endless spam and bot accounts trolling.
Universal Profiles solve these problems, by letting users create their digital reputation through activity, collecting and association to tokens and at the same time not requiring to use real names.
(If you read the book or saw the movie Ready Player One, we are talking about something similar to their decentralised avatars and games.)
<aside> 🔥 Only owners of Universal Profiles can publish and edit information, unlike Facebook which keeps control over your information and shares them with third party companies. On the other side, you must keep in mind that the history of your actions cannot be deleted from the blockchain since it stays in the transactions logs. Therefore we advise you, not to add personal data like real names or phone numbers, cause they’ll be available forever. Be aware, the blockchain is a free, public space that is forever!

This aspect of the Universal Profile works similarly to the permission management you know from Apple iOS APPs, where you are asked what each App is allowed to do. Through the so-called ‘Key Manager’ and ‘Vaults’ you can allow apps or wallets to access specific functions or a selective group of tokens.
Imagine an App that can lend your tokens for ‘Play-to-Earn’ at any time on-chain, but not transfer them elsewhere. Moreover, you have access to your wallet on your mobile - without risking everything getting lost, in case it gets stolen.
It’s quite a challenge for many people to keep their private keys and seed phrases safe and secure. Who doesn’t have a friend who lost quite some digital assets? And often these were tech-affine early adopters.
We believe that central solutions, which keep the private keys custodian are not a solution either - cause if so, why should we use blockchain at all?!
